All lanes back open on M6 near Preston after lorry crash

Police have closed one lane of the M6 southbound near Preston.

A crash between a car and a lorry had shut the lane off between Junction 32 and Junction 31.

Preston Poice said they were called around 2.30pm on Wednesday (16 August) to the collision just south of Junction 32.

The driver of the car, a 52-year-old man, is uninjured. The condition of the lorry driver is not yet known.

Delays were building onto the M55 following the crash.

All lanes are now back open on the M6 southbound, as of 4.10pm.
