The Wellington Inn Pub, located on Glovers Court in Preston city centre, has recently undergone a revamp.
AdvertisementThe pub’s interior has been completely refurbished with modern and sophisticated decor, which still keeps the traditional theme running through.
A lot of work has also been put into the pub’s beer garden, with a brand new bar along with pub games that customers can enjoy.
The refurbishment started in January with the aim to give a modern spin on the traditional Preston landmark.

The remarkable glass windows still remain in the pub, including the iconic Preston crest stained window, which really adds to the uniqueness of it.
Andrew Forster, owner of the Wellington Inn, said: “We have refurbished the interior, carried out extensive works to our beer garden – adding an outside bar and traditional pub games.
“We also now have the Coachhouse Gallery – where a local artist has painted over 100 frames onto the walls of our outer tunnel and Graffiti artists from all over the world can come to exhibit their artwork in the frames for 1 month (if they buy a pint).
“This alone has attracted visitors from all over the UK to come and photograph the work.
“I am most proud of the new ‘secret garden’ and outside area.
“I took over the pub in December and have kept all the staff on.
“I am hoping to open a carvery in time for christmas and bring a German beer market to the outside area, with mulled wine – and I would like to turn the tunnel into a nativity scene.
“There is nothing like our pub in the city centre, it is unique.”
The Wellington Inn is still in the process of being revamped, with the hope of also refurbishing the floor.
