Biker in hospital after Ribbleton crash

A Ribbleton biker is in hospital following a crash on Thursday evening.

The 32-year-old man was hurt in a collision close to the Red Scar Industrial Estate,

Police closed Longridge Road for four hours during the incident at around 11.20pm.

The rider of the Yamaha bike was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with broken ribs and back injuries.

Sergeant Tracey Ward, of Lancashire Police’s Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate a collision in Ribbleton.

“We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

“If you saw what happened, please contact us.”

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log reference 1600 of August 3.
