Police chase in Fulwood ends as car crashes into hedge

Arrests have been made after a police chase near a primary school in Fulwood.

Preston Police brought the chase to an end in Manor House Lane, near Holme Slack Primary School on Tuesday (27 June) morning.

Police spotted a black Mercedes understood to have been stolen overnight in Fulwood.

The officers pursued the car and it crashed into a hedge in Manor House Lane.

One eyewitness said about six police vehicles were chasing the vehicle.

A woman and two men attempted to make off from the scene but have now been arrested.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, failing to stop and dangerous driving.

A 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

Police said an armed response unit was also called but was stood down.
