Who wants your vote in Ashton and Preston Rural East by-elections

Two Preston council wards will be contested alongside the Lancashire County Council elections on Thursday.

During 4 May the Ashton and Preston Rural East voters have their say on a new councillor.

Rural East elects a councillor to replace Tom Davies after his passing in November last year.

While Ashton replaces Angela Vodden who stepped down to pursue a career in Wales.

Here are the candidates who want your vote in the two wards:

Ashton

Liz Atkins – Labour
Michael Balshaw – Conservatives
Jeremy Dable – Lib Dems
Simon Platt – UKIP

Preston Rural East

Kieran Aspden – UKIP
David Callaghan – Lib Dems
Joshua Mascord – Labour
Ron Woollam – Conservatives
