Four caravans have appeared in Ribbleton Park off Blackpool Road.

It follows another group of travellers being parked on the West View Leisure Centre top car park since Saturday.

Residents nearby said the travellers had arrived during Thursday (4 May) afternoon,

Director of environment at Preston City Council Adrian Philips said: “Officers were at the site this morning and have made contact with the group.

“The team will conduct the required checks and procedures, which are part of the formal eviction process.”

Police have been informed regarding the West View travellers and a manager for the leisure centre said they were due to be leaving and ‘had not been any trouble’.
