The sound of Samba drums echoed across Preston city centre on Saturday afternoon as the University of Central Lancashire brought the Flag Market to life.

The performance, part of a Lancashire Art Festival event, featured the Worldwide Samba Drummers and Preston Samba Dancers.

The event wasn’t just about the performers though.

There was an opportunity for members of the public to get involved in a jam session and as they started to beat out their music the rain cleared and the sun shone.
