Frog was born in Fulwood and attended Broughton High School and Preston College.

At 18 she went to Cambridge University before embarking on her career as a comedian and writer.

Frog said: “The story is really about a troublesome mother/daughter relationship and how those two women reconcile themselves to the lives they have had and the lives they want.

“It’s a comedy but poignant too.

“I had wanted to write something for Miriam Margolyes, for a while, and then my father died and I wanted to tell a story I wouldn’t get to experience in real life.

Frog spoke about how coming from the North of the UK has inspired her to fulfill her career as a comedian and writer.

She continued: “The Northern sense of humour is key.

“It can be dry and warm, unlike Preston which is often cold and wet!”

Bucket airs at 10pm on Thursdays on BBC4
