Two seats on Preston City Council are to be contested in May elections.
AdvertisementElections have been triggered due to the death of councillor Tom Davies in November last year.
He represented Preston Rural East and passed away from a heart attack after watching his beloved Preston North End at Deepdale.
An election is also to be held in Ashton-on-Ribble after Angela Vodden stepped down due to securing a full-time job in Wales which is to see her move from the area.
The Conservatives currently hold Preston Rural East and Labour hold Ashton. Labour hold an overall majority at the Town Hall.
