Two cars involved in crash near Ashton-on-Ribble doctors surgery

A woman is led away from the crash, with the red Mini next to a pile of bricks

Police closed off a section of a road in Ashton-on-Ribble after a crash.

Two cars were involved in the crash at the junction of Birch Avenue and Cottam Lane.

A white Ford and a red Mini were involved in the collision which saw the Mini mount the kerb.

The incident happened close to the Cottam Lane doctors surgery, and surgery staff went to help those involved.

Preston Police said the incident happened around 9.50am on Friday (3 March). Both vehicles have been recovered.
