A teenager has been charged following an incident in Longton on Saturday (March 18).

Police were called to an incident on Liverpool Road at around 4.20pm.

Around eight police vehicles were seen just down from the Black Bull pub, however the incident did not take place in the pub, and is reported to have taken place at a house in Manor Court – off Liverpool Road.

A 16-year-old boy has now been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

He’s appearing at Preston Crown Court today (March 20).
