An air ambulance is understood to have been called.

A police spokesman said: “We were called around 3.25pm today by the Ambulance Service following reports of a collision in Whittingham.

“A car and motorbike had collided at the junction of Back Lane and Cumeragh Lane.

“Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a man, was later pronounced dead at the scene.
