Man arrested after incident in Fishergate Hill

A man has been arrested after a woman was taken to hospital following an incident in Fishergate Hill.

Preston Police were called at 7.40am on Thursday (30 March) after a woman was seen jumping from an upstairs window.

The 37-year-old woman was found nearby in Lauderdale Street with a leg and head injury, and was taken taken to Royal Preston Hospital to be treated.

A 41-year-old man was found at the address in Fishergate Hill with a suspected head injury and a wound to his arm. He was also taken to hospital.

Police then arrested the man on suspicion of affray and he remains in police custody.

Enquiries are on-going to establish what happened in the lead up to the incident and how they have come about their injuries.
