An iconic building on Preston’s skyline is on the market once again.
AdvertisementThe grade-II listed former windmill in Craggs Row, off Moor Lane, was due to be turned into two flats.
Listed as for sale by Reeds Rains the building is in major need of renovation.
The windmill was built as part of a corn mill and dates to the late 18th century.
It is the last remaining structure of its type in the city.
The windmill was listed as grade-II in 1968 giving it protection from demolition.

A new owner bought the windmill a decade ago and had tabled plans to create two dwellings, including adding an extension.
However, no work was ever done and the planning permission lapsed – they have now chosen to put it on the market.
