Roadworks to see Preston Bus divert services in west of the city

Bus passengers in Larches are being warned of changes to their services for a just over a week.

Greavestown Lane, Larches Lane and Whinfield Avenue are being closed between 7am to 5pm each day for resurfacing work.

The roadworks from Thursday 9 February to Friday 17 February will affect the 88 and 89 services.

These Preston Bus services will not serve Larches Avenue, Larches Lane or Greavestown Lane.

Preston Bus says it will during the closure times divert the 88’s Cottam normal route to Lea Road, Blackpool Road, West Park Avenue, Savick Way to Savick Turning Circle and then into Savick Way, West Park Avenue, Blackpool Road, Lea Road and normal route to Cottam.

Stops in Blackpool Road (Weeton Place) and Savick Way will be observed.

Service 89 is remaining in Blackpool Road on journeys to and from Lea.

A spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
