Preston city centre road closed due to three-car crash

A crash has closed Queen Street in Preston city centre – leading to building delays on nearby roads.

The road from Avenham to the A6 has been shut from 2.50pm on Thursday (9 February).

Three vehicles were involved in the crash which has shut the section of Queen Street from Manchester Road to London Road.

A police spokeswoman said: “A BMW, Citroen and Volkswagen. All drivers out of their vehicles and the vehicles are being recovered at the moment.”

The road re-opened shortly after 4pm on Thursday.

Only minor injuries have been sustained in the crash.
