Motorists in Fulwood are being told to brace themselves for more disruption on the area’s roads.
AdvertisementTemporary traffic lights in Eastway have been causing long delays as Lancashire County Council put a new roundabout in.
The section at Longfield has seen traffic backed up during peak times and had been due to last for a fortnight, but are being extended for a further three weeks.
Highway design manager for the county council John Gatheral said: “The temporary traffic lights on Eastway will remain on at peak times until the week beginning Monday 13 February. This will assist with the work to construct and complete the new roundabout. By keeping the traffic lights on for longer, we’re hoping that it will help to speed up the work that has to be done to create the new junction.
“We apologise for disruption to people’s journeys and advise people to allow more time when travelling in this area, especially at peak times.”
