Mark Whittle from Preston BID said: “Preston is always a popular choice for shopping and enjoying some leisure time, no more so than at Christmas. The city centre boasts national brands, a superior range of independent shops and an abundance of great restaurants, cafes and bars. Preston offers everything you could wish for at Christmas.

“The city has a strong proposition and a packed festive programme, ensuring that visitors are provided with lots of choice and a positive experience this Christmas. We’re asking people to support Preston and the local business community over the festive period whilst enjoying what the city has on offer.”

The free car parking will be available at:

Preston City Council’s Market Hall car park from 5pm to 12midnight on Saturday only.

At two University of Central Lancashire car parks, Victoria 2 (PR1 7AY) and Leighton Sreet (PR1 8RU). Free until 7pm on Saturday – so only good for those coming into town earlier and not staying for the switch on.
