How the Preston Bus app looks on your phone

A mobile app allowing you to pay for bus tickets on the go in Preston has been launched.

The official Preston Bus app now allows passengers to buy tickets for services across the city.

Single tickets aren’t available on the app currently but you will be able to buy daily, weekly and 28-day tickets – paying via credit or debit card.

Virtual tickets are stored on the passenger’s app and can be shown to the driver when boarding, meaning you don’t need to dig around for exact change again.

The app is live in the Apple and Android stores and is free to download.

Preston Bus says each person using the app will save nine seconds of boarding time per journey.

The prices in the app are the same as buying onboard or in advance. Here’s how they stack up:
