Major disruption on rail services to and from Preston is ongoing during Sunday night.

A person has been hit by a train between Wigan North Western and Preston.

All lines are now back open since the incident at 5.25pm.

Delays of up to 20 minutes are continuing until the end of the service according to National Rail.
