The Guild Way is closed heading into Preston Pic: LancsRoadPolice

A major road into Preston has been closed in both directions after an incident involving a motorbike.

Preston Police have closed part of the Penwortham flyover, the Guild Way, after the crash.

Police say a motorbike is the only vehicle involved.

Emergency services are on the scene after they were called at 11.25am on Tuesday (22 November).

The motorcyclist’s injuries are unknown at this stage.

The incident has taken place heading into Preston city centre.

 

Update: the road has now reopened.
