A new restaurant has now served its first meals after opening off a major Preston road.
AdvertisementMUMU Steakhouse opened in London Road on Thursday (24 November) serving steaks, burgers and more.
The man behind it is award-winning restaurant owner Adam Karim who runs Don Giovanni and Rosso in Manchester.
Seating up to 100 diners the restaurant is open in what used to be Kebabish.
It is a dry restaurant, so no alcohol is sold or can be brought into the premises. The meat is also halal.
A spokeswoman for the restaurant said: “This is a new venture for Adam and he wanted to bring something authentic to Preston based on his first restaurant Karim’s.
“We picked this location as it is close to the city centre but also to the Deepdale and Fishwick areas. Preston has a strong Muslim community and we decided to make it a dry venue because there are families who wish to come to an alcohol-free environment.
“We may look at introducing a bring your own licence. Currently we’re not offering takeaway, but the previous restaurant here did so we may introduce this.”
25 new jobs have been created by the restaurant owning, with some full-time roles with chefs and part-time roles for serving staff.
