Workmen have begun clearing out the former bank as it becomes a cafe.

Nearby businesses had lobbied for the Costa to be rejected but no objections were received so the plans were approved by planning officers during the summer.

The Costa is due to open from 6.30am to 9pm seven days a week and hold 40 people at a time.
