A major road near Preston has reopened after a crash.

Brownedge Road where it meets the A6 through to the junction with Brownedge Lane was shut for three hours.

The incident involved a car and a pedestrian in the crash in Bamber Bridge around 11am. A pedestrian in their 40s/50s was taken to hospital.

Lancashire Police closed the road and diverted traffic during the incident on Sunday (20 November).

Motorists have been thanked for their patience.
