Preston Police and Trading Standards say the sale of fireworks to children has led to several reports of anti-social behaviour involving fireworks.
A spokesman for Trading Standards, who shared the warning on their Scambuster Stan page, said: “If you see anyone selling fireworks to underage people, please report it to the police on 101, or to me at tsscams@lancashire.gov.uk.”
Fireworks can only be sold to people aged 18 years or older.
Sparklers are classed as a firework and the same rules apply.
