A former empty building in Fishergate has reopened as the new home in Preston for Yorkshire Bank.
AdvertisementDespite being from the wrong side of the Pennines the bank has expanded from its previous branch in Orchard Street.
The bank says the new larger and open plan branch has more hi-tech options to offer customers.
Bank manager Jackie Jones said: “We are delighted with our new branch which underlines our commitment to Preston. While customers expect us to deliver flawless service, we also want them to have an enjoyable place to do their banking.”
It is not known what the previous branch in Orchard Street will become, or if any new jobs have been created by the bank’s move in the city centre.
Yorkshire Bank says it is investing £45m across the UK in upgrading its banks.
