A discount department store could be eyeing up a return to Preston.
AdvertisementTJ Hughes closed in the Fishergate Shopping Centre in summer 2011.
But now adverts have appeared looking for new staff.
Posted onto jobs website Indeed there’s a call for part-time sales assistants based in Preston.
A statement in the job advert says: “TJ Hughes is a national retailer with big expansion plans for the future and we are looking for talented and enthusiastic people who are passionate about retail and who want to be part of something exciting to join us in our new store opening in Preston.”
The former TJ Hughes store in the Fishergate centre was due to become a multi-screen Vue cinema.

However in Autumn the deal between Fishergate and Vue collapsed when the £40m plan for the shopping centre was due to be rejected by council planners.
Blog Preston approached TJ Hughes for comment but there was no response.
