Ten people have been hurt in a crash at a busy motorway junction in Preston.

Emergency services were rushed to the Broughton roundabout where the M55 meets the M6.

Three cars were involved in the crash which closed the M55 westbound on Friday (2 September) at 5.46pm.

Fire crews had to cut one person free from one of the vehicles and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said there were ten people hurt.

Ambulance crews took those involved to hospital.

All lanes have now reopened where the M6 meets the M55.
