CCTV pictures show a man police would like to speak to in connection with the incident

Police in Preston are looking for a dark coloured hatchback car used in a burglary in Leyland.

CCTV pictures have been released following the incident at a mobile phone shop.

Casetronix in Towngate was broken into around 3am on Friday (2 September) and a number of iPhones and Samsung Galaxy smartphones were taken.

PC Rik Nicol said: “This was a high value theft which will no doubt have an impact on the independent retailer who serves the local community.

“We are keen to speak to the man pictured in connection with the burglary and I would urge anyone who recognises him or who has any further information about that could assist with our enquiries to contact us.”
