Haighton Manor is open after six months of extensive refurbishment.
AdvertisementPub group Brunning and Price have renovated the former wedding venue to create a pub restaurant with 176 seats along with a private dining room and terrace and lawn area.
Chris Humphries, new landlord at Haighton Manor, said: “The locals seem to be delighted with the transformation, everybody is bowled over by how much the building has changed.

“We have received so many positive comments. The pictures are a big talking point as many show the building as it used to be as well as the surrounding area.
“The loveliest moment so far has been a gentleman who commented that he hadn’t caught up with so many local people for months or even years. He said that he could see the pub being a real hub for local residents to meet and catch up more regularly.”
The pub will create 40 jobs locally. Chris is joined by Martyn Barnes as head chef, Steven Larkin as deputy manager and Katherine Horrocks as assistant manager.
