Preston’s heatwave was too much for one man, who decided to take a dip in the city’s Dock.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service had to call out their rescue sled to retrieve the naked swimmer from the water.

A 999 call reported a man had jumped from the side of the Docks around 3pm on Sunday (7 August).

Firefighters rescued the man who was treated by paramedics.
