Two miles of the M6 near Preston are to be shut overnight.
AdvertisementWork begins on the two mile stretch between Junction 29 (for the M65) and Junction (30).
Highways England is putting diversions in place for the work which is to resurface the motorway.
The northbound carriageway closes for two nights. Work on the southbound carriageway takes seven nights.
The work begins on Monday 1 August. The diversions are to be put in place from 9pm to 5am on weekdays, and until 7am on weekends.

Project Manager John Lyssejko said: “Regular drivers on the M6 in Lancashire will know this stretch needs resurfacing, and people will benefit from smoother and safer journeys as a result.”
