Two homes in Whittingham Lane demolished

Two homes have been demolished as Broughton Bypass work continues.

The two properties in Whittingham Lane were knocked down to make way for the new road.

Number 35 and 37 Whittingham Lane faced the wrecking ball so the underpass near Whittingham Lane could be completed.

Elsewhere on the £23m road – which aims to reduce congestion at the Broughton crossroads – wildlife at the Whittingham Lane and Blundell Brook section has been relocated.

Down towards the M55 junction work has been completed on water diversions and currently gas diversions are taking place.

A new bridge at Brooklands is being built and permanent foundations are now being laid.
