Preston’s university has moved up the global rankings once more.
AdvertisementThe University of Central Lancashire has clambered up 15 places to be ranked 924th out of 25,000 degree-awarding institutions around the world.
It means UCLan is in the top 3.7 per cent of universities worldwide and is its highest ranking ever achieved.
UCLan’s vice-chancellor Professor Mike Thomas said: “For the thousands of UCLan students graduating over the course of this week these latest CWUR results are great news as they highlight one of our real strengths which is it provide excellent graduate employees, armed with the skills to thrive in the workplace.
“We are extremely proud that Preston has a University which is now ranked as one of the best in the World. UCLan will continue to enable people, irrespective of their background to fulfil their potential, develop as global citizens and meet their life and career goals.”

The ranking is put together by the World University Rankings (CWUR) and rates institution’s based on their education and training of students as well as the quality of research undertaken by the university.
