Police are continuing to investigate a fatal crash on a busy Preston road.
AdvertisementMotorcyclist Robert Symonowicz died in London Road on Sunday (3 July).
His motorbike collided with a BMW close to the junction with Salmon Street.
A number of bystanders tried to save the 28-year-old but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Preston Police say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the crash. No arrests have been made.
The owners of a white Vauxhall Astra they had been keen to trace have now been found and spoken to.
Mr Symonowicz’s family released a tribute to their son, a hotel worker in Fulwood, following his death.
They said: “He was much loved by all who knew him, both his family and friends here in Poland and his many friends and work colleagues in the UK. Robert was always hard working and loved nothing more than joking around with his friends and making them laugh. He worked in the hotel industry and was a keen runner who enjoyed competing in races. He will always be in our hearts.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Lancashire Police on 101.
