A new strongest man in Preston was crowned on the Flag Market during Saturday.
AdvertisementJoe Nicholson won the Open at Preston Strongman while John McKeown came top in the novice category.
Crowds watched on as some big men sweated it out throughout Saturday afternoon.
Lorry pulls, large lifts and pulling a car were all on the task list.
Former soldier Greg Dunnings, who organised the event, said: “It went fantastically well.
“The competition was brilliant. The lads put on a hell of a show for Preston and we had massive crowds throughout the day.”

More than £2,500 was raised for the charity Bike Tours which helps recovering servicemen and women to take up cycling.
