Andrew Bradshaw has applied for outline permission to build on the land near Maxy House Farm in Sandy Lane.

Planning officers have recommended the scheme for approval once financial discussions have concluded by early August at how much the developer will pay for community improvements in the area.

Around 10 hectares of land would be turned over to the housing development.

It has triggered objections from Woodplumpton Parish Council who say the plans are ‘premature’ as the East-West Link Road through the area has yet to be confirmed.

It also has two letters of objection from nearby residents who say the area cannot support a large housing development due to drainage issues.

Council officers write ‘environmental concerns can be satisfactorily mitigated through planning conditions’.

Councillors are due to hear plans for the Maxy House scheme on Thursday 7 July from 1.30pm at the Town Hall.
