A black Ford Kuga is the type of vehicle wanted

Police in Preston have launched an appeal to trace a car which rammed a police vehicle.

A black Ford Kuga is being hunted after being seen heading towards the Red Scar Industrial Estate in Ribbleton.

The police car was rammed at 3.15pm on Sunday (17 July).

Police say the Kuga will have extensive rear end damage.

The registration for the car is M15DMO.

Police tweeted at 5.30pm on Sunday to say the vehicle had been recovered. And thanked the public for their help.

Any sightings can be reported to Lancashire police headquarters control room via 101 number quoting log no LC-20160717-0964.
