Preparations are continuing on bringing a former wedding venue back into use as a pub on the outskirts of Preston.
AdvertisementHaighton Manor has confirmed who is to be the landlord and the chef at the gastropub.
Chris Humphries has lived in the city since he was 20 with his wife Claire who is born and bred in Preston.
He’s joined by Martyn Barnes as head chef and deputy manager Steven Larkin, both of whom have been working with him for the last three years at the Aspinhall Arms in Mitton.
The new landlord said: “I’m really looking forward to working with Martin to create our menu, hopefully forming strong relationships with some great new local suppliers. I love the idea of running beer festivals and evenings where customers can meet local brewers to find out more about their beers and taste what’s on offer locally.
“We are fortunate to have a wealth of brewers in the area to choose from and I would love to hear from our customers about what they would like us to stock.”
Work on the pub in Haighton Green Lane is continuing with private dining areas being created alongside a large bar. An outdoor seating area is also being landscaped.
