The closed down charity shop in Walker Street

A new cafe is looking to open in what used to be a charity shop close to Preston city centre.

Walker Street’s former St Catherine’s Hospice charity shop has seen plans lodged.

SAP Architectural Designs have applied for permission to change the premises so it can serve food and drink.

It is not known what type of food or style of cafe it will be.

St Catherine’s closed the Walker Street shop in late December to move to a new superstore in Deepdale.

Blog Preston contacted SAP for a comment about the cafe but no reply has been forthcoming.

The full plans can be found on the city council website, where comments can be left.
