The grade II listed building is due to undergo a £23m facelift and see a Preston Youth Zone built next to it on the western apron.
Lancashire County Council has put up a sign warning of closures to the exit ramps.
Investigation work is taking place on the ramps up to the car park at both ends of the Bus Station.
The sign states: “North exit ramp to the South exit ramps closed 19th May 2016.”
