Penwortham flyover crash sees Bank Holiday Sunday delays

The crash has happened heading into Preston Pic: Google

Shoppers heading into Preston from Penwortham have been caught in tailbacks after a crash.

Five vehicles are understood to have been involved in a collision on the Guild Way flyover on Sunday at 12.35pm.

Three Preston Police vehicles and an ambulance are at the scene. One lane has been closed Preston-bound while police recover the vehicles involved.

Traffic is backed up to the Brown Hare roundabout down Golden Way.

Elsewhere, Garstang Road in Preston is busy heading up to the Broughton roundabout junction and the M6 northbound around Preston is once again gridlocked.

There are delays from Junction 28 up to Junction 32 on the M6.
