One of the youngest councillor’s in the UK has been elected in Preston.
AdvertisementJade Marie Morgan, 18, won for Labour in the St Matthews ward.
She replaces Veronica Afrin who stepped down after 38 years as a councillor.

The Preston College student is the step daughter of Preston City Council’s cabinet member councillor Martyn Rawlinson who was re-elected in Fishwick on the same night.
Jade says she thinks her victory can inspire more young people to get involved in local politics.
