Garstang Road crash sees emergency services called out

Two drivers were checked for injuries after a crash in Fulwood on Friday night.

Shortly after 6pm a collision between a black Mini and a maroon Skoda closed one side of Garstang Road.

The incident near the Texaco garage saw glass shattered across the pavement and road. One woman was cut free from a car and taken to hospital.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service diverted traffic around the collision while paramedics attended to both drivers and passengers.

Both cars were parked on the pavement and the Skoda had sustained damage to its left front wheel leaving it crumpled.

Preston Police also attended the scene.

Traffic cleared from the incident shortly before 7pm.
