Windows of the mosque show signs of damage, and a brick found nearby

A mosque in Preston has seen two windows smashed.

The incident on Thursday night at Jamea Masjid saw glass smashed inside and outside the mosque.

The building in Clarendon Street, Frenchwood, is the largest and oldest mosque in the city.

It was the former St James Vicarage and was converted in 1965.

Preston Police are understood to be investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101.
