Charting the history of Preston’s university is beginning in a new heritage project.
AdvertisementFree events are being held by the University of Central Lancashire Students’ Union to explain the connection of the university to the city.
Included in UCLan Through The Ages, which runs for 18 months, are exhibitions, history tours, a local history app and a photography competition.
Student Union President Josie Linsel said: “This project will create exciting new ways for our UCLan students to connect with the history, heritage and communities of Preston and the wider area. I can’t wait to see what the students achieve.”
Anyone wanting to be involved in the history project is asked to follow the Facebook page.
The project is funded by a £49,700 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
