The Lancashire Market made its return to Friargate with Prestonians eager to stock up on Easter provisions.Advertisement
Food stalls were popular as always with Easter-themed cakes, pies and cheeses available to buy.
Entertainment for the kids was in full flow at the top end of Friargate up towards the university, with the Preston City Council outdoor entertainment rig parked up.
Traders reported a slow start to the day and not being helped by frequent strong gusts of wind down Friargate.

As it stands the rain has stayed away and as lunchtime on Saturday approached the market was beginning to bustle.
The Lancashire Market is on until 4pm and takes place three times a year organised by Preston Business Improvement District.
