Lancashire County Council has announced its intention to close Cheapside from Tuesday 15 March to Saturday 23 April.

The road is used as a way through to Preston Markets and an alternative route is being used with vehicles being allowed to drive across the Flag Market.

The diversion sees a temporary route at Tithebarn Street, down Lord Street, Lancaster Road and into Harris Street (between the Harris Museum and the Town Hall).
