Fishergate’s new layout is being extended up parts of Church Street and also round into Cheapside towards the Flag Market.

Lancashire County Council has announced its intention to close Cheapside from Tuesday 15 March to Saturday 23 April.

The road is used as a way through to Preston Markets and an alternative route is being used with vehicles being allowed to drive across the Flag Market.

The diversion sees a temporary route at Tithebarn Street, down Lord Street, Lancaster Road and into Harris Street (between the Harris Museum and the Town Hall).
