Troublesome teenagers are being targeted by Preston Police in the Broadgate area.
AdvertisementA dispersal order is in place for the second Friday in a row due to problems with anti-social behaviour.
One resident, who asked not to be named, said they were subjected to abuse and had stones thrown at them while walking by the parade of shops at the top of Broadgate.
They also said cars had been targeted with youths throwing stones at drivers as they entered Broadgate.
PCSO Stephen Connolly said police were working to tackle the issue.
He said: “Inspector Anderton has authorised a dispersal order again in the Broadgate area.
“There will be additional police patrols in the Broadgate area this evening.”
Preston Police posted an update around 5.30pm on Friday: “Four dispersal orders have been issued in Euston Street, off Fishergate Hill. One teenager was taken home due to their behaviour.”
The dispersal order operates from 3pm to midnight. During that time anyone told not to enter the area circled in the map above could be arrested if they breach the dispersal order.
Police are asking anyone who experiences issues on Friday night to call 101.
