A new cocktail bar has begun operating in Preston city centre.
AdvertisementVeinte Pintxos has opened in Guildhall Street and are making a colourful range of drinks.
From the Breaking Bad inspired blue ones to multi-coloured mixer the Little Mermaid.
The bar, which is open from 5pm to 11pm Wednesday to Sunday, says it is the only pintxo place in Lancashire.
The small snacks are typically eaten in Northern Spanish bars and the Veinte team want to bring the trend to Preston.
Steve Melaugh, 35, owner of the bar, said: “We picked Guildhall Street as its a nice street just off the main night circuit in the city.”
The Barton-based bar owner said the Spanish-style food should be popular with those wanting a quick fill up on their way to a night out.
He said: “The difference in our bar is we also have pintxos available. This is typically a Spanish way of eating in the Basque region, little dishes on sticks or on bread, for example simple things like prawn and mango skewers or olives and feta cheese skewer.
“This type of eating is quick, doesn’t require cutlery and doesn’t make the customer feel like they have to have a big meal whilst on a night out.”
